In collaboration with Dr. Everett Shock and Dr. Jan Amend (Washington University, St. Louis), we are working in understanding the bio-geochemical characteristics of the hot springs at Yellowstone National Park. Our contribution to this project is to better constrain the gas geochemistry of the hot springs and how magmatic gases interact with the hydrothermal system and the high temperature micorobial organisms living in the hot springs.
