The ol' Nuclide mass spectrometer was retired in 1998. It was a very nice machine used mostly for hydrogen isotope analyses. The electronics were non-solid state and the pressure equalization of gases was made using mercury rams. It is now on display on the wall of the stable isotope laboratory.
